i cant able to understand how barbatunnel (BT) works!

here are my questions:
  1. is BT can be used to tunnel free openvpn services like vpnbook, freevpn, etc. (Vpn gets connected to port 80,443 but not recieving any data) if yes? How?
  2. my university firewall blocks 443 but allows 80(tcp).torrent services (p2p) are blocked.whether p2p can access using bt? isp allows connecting to proxy (only http) but vpn is blocked. does vpn can be connected/tunneled through bt?

1,2) No, You need to establish you own server to use BarbaTunnel, in another way you need to setup VPN and BarbaTunnel on a server and client yourself. Follow the instruction of how to setup VPN on server.

3) Yes, You can use BarbaTunnel on HTTP Only connection. BarbaTunnel is exactly do this.

Good Luck

Sir, Thanks for replying,

traditionally, i will acquire some (connect) http proxies port 80,8080,3128 from free proxy sites and use them in openvpn for connecting tcp.

is barbatunnel doing the same?

If you have OpenVPN on a windows server you can convert OpenVPN protocol (either tcp, https, udp, or anything else) to a HTTP by installing and configuring BarbaTunnel on both side. in this case the firewall that block you assume you just upload and download images or zip file and it would be very sophisticated to block the connection.

Ok. so BT would be useful only if i own a private vpn?

Yes, actually works JUST if you have a private VPN. BarbaTunnel does not work for public VPN.
Good Luck
