How does BarbraTunnel capture web browser traffic and tunnel to the server?

Aug 29, 2014 at 2:28 AM
I want BarbraTunnel to capture web traffic and redirect/tunnel to the server via port 443.

With SSH I use SOCKS proxy for internet and mail ports.

What should the client, server, and browser config look like?

Thanks.

Hi
You can simply specify tunnel port to 443 but BarbaTunnel does not implement HTTPS and SSH and does not disguise traffic as HTTPS. Currently BarbaTunnel implements UDP, TCP and HTTP protocol.

Goal: Capture web traffic and redirect to server. I need to capture port 80 from Firefox (and other ports, but starting simple), and redirect to server port 25. I have to tunnel through a proxy and firewall.

I need to know how to configure BarbraTunnel Client/Server and Firefox (proxy?).

There is no indication the client/server connection is established successfully. There are no error messages from the client or the server, but nothing that would indicate success either.

Below is my HTTP-Retunnel.ini file:

[General]
ServerAddress=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

Enabled=1
Mode=HTTP-Tunnel
Key=1234567890ABCDEF
GrabProtocols=GRE:,TCP:1723,ESP:,UDP:1701,UDP:500,UDP:4500,TCP:7000 ; Not used for HTTP-Tunnel.
TunnelPorts=25 ; Server listening to this port.
RealPort=8090 ; Port I need to capture from web browser.
MaxUserConnections=
FakeFileTypes=jpg,zip

; None | Normal | Bombard
HttpRequestMode=

; In kilobyte
MaxTransferSize=

; In Bytes
MinPacketSize=

; In second
KeepAliveInterval=

[Server]
AllowHttpRequestNone=
AllowHttpRequestNormal=
AllowHttpRequestBombard=

It is impossible with BarbaTunnel. BarbaTunnel capture all traffics to a destination. You need to establish a VPN first.
