HTTP Tunnel Speed is low

May 5, 2013 at 12:30 PM
Dear BarbaCoder

First of all, I appreciate for your application. its very useful.
I forced using HTTP Tunnel because UDP tunnel is slow and limited in my country and I should using HTTP Tunnel.

I increase MaxUserConnections value to 20 but the download speed of HTTP Tunnel is slow , about 2 Mbps. But before UDP tunnel limitation in my country , I had 16 Mbps download speed on Barbaba UDP tunnel.

Could you help me to increase HTTP Tunnel speed ?

Best Regards

I don't have idea why you limited to 2Mbps, By the way HTTP-Tunnel is very sensitive to upload speed.
Actually I reach to 3MB via 8 connection.

@Kalhori: You should not use port 443 (HTTPS) for BarbaTunnel. BarbaTunnel support HTTP tunnel not HTTPS tunnel. HTTPS tunnel use "CONNECT" request protocol and usually connected via 443 port but BarbaTunnel use most common HTTP GET & POST protocol and should not be established on port 443. The best port is 80 if available.

I hand't this problem on UDP tunnel.

I see an news , BarbaCoder wants to provide a new version of BarbaTunnel.
when is it ready to test ?

Hi
I working on HTTP-Bombard mode that it let BarbaTunnel work behind on proxy server who cash request but it should be much slower performance (500% overhead!). I plan to add TCP-Tunnel, UDP multi-port that may increase performance if available. I Have idea about multi-port and I hope it work in case where UDP blocked!
Also I working to make normal HTTP-Tunnel better.
I don't know about release time, I have many idea and plan but very limited time to work on this project.
Cheers
